April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month. For 2022, we created a campaign for the Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson’s around the concept of “what would you tell yourself the day you were diagnosed with Parkinson’s?”
We produced a PSA featuring Kirk Gibson that ran digitally, on Bally Sports Detroit for the month of April, and inside Comerica Park and Dodger Stadium. The video accumulated 443,000 impressions total on social media.
The video received reposts from the Detroit Tigers, Los Angeles Dodgers, and media members like the Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal.
We continued creating content throughout the month by engaging the Parkinson’s community by encouraging Parkinson’s Fighters and loved ones to leave their own messages. We posted every other day these messages to the Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson’s social channels and in-doing so established a new audio resource for future Parkinson’s patients and families that will help them understand the journey they’re about to embark on. This series created 27,000 impressions total on social media.
The foundation’s social channels each saw a 15% growth over the month.
